In the second semi-final of the 2025 Sudirman Cup Badminton Mixed Team Tournament on the 3rd, South Korea defeated Indonesia to start the championship showdown before the tournament.
In the first mixed doubles, Seo Seung-jae and Choi Yoo-hyun defeated Indonesia's new pair Dejan and Siti Fathia 21-10, 21-15 to give South Korea the top spot.
Ahn Se Ying won the third women's singles game in straight sets, and South Korea led Indonesia 2-1 "draw".
In the second men's singles match, former world junior champion Alvi Farhan (world No. 33) lost the first game and finally defeated South Korea's Cho Jian Ye (world No. 141) 16-21, 21-8, 21-8 to help Indonesia regain lost ground.
World and Olympic champion Ahn Se Ying defeated Indonesia's Butli (world No. 11) 21-18, 21-12 in the third Women's Singles match, extending her five-match winning streak against the latter and helping South Korea to take the lead again. In the next 4th men's doubles, South Korea will have the winning points won by Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-jae, and will face the Indonesian pair of Suyib and Bargas.
