The Boston Red Sox are in discussions with multiple teams regarding a trade for Jarren Duran.

Despite the Red Sox's 14-4 record since June 28 indicating they might be buyers at the trade deadline, outfielder Jarren Duran could still be used as a trading asset.

According to Jim Bowden from The Athletic, Boston is negotiating with several teams about a trade involving Duran, with the Padres and Phillies showing strong interest in the 28-year-old player.

Duran's contract is controllable until 2028, so the Red Sox do not feel an urgent pressure to trade him. However, with Ceddanne Rafaela, Wilyer Abreu, and top prospect Roman Anthony occupying outfield spots, Duran's long-term role in Boston is uncertain. Therefore, the team might consider trading him for a controllable starting pitcher or first baseman.
