On April 1st Beijing time, the Lakers defeated the Cavaliers 127-113 at home, securing a 4-game winning streak. Doncic scored 42 points, 5 rebounds, and 12 assists. His March (local time) scoring reached 600 points, surpassing Kobe Bryant's 578 points in March 2006, setting a new Lakers franchise record for single-month scoring. He also reached the milestone of 15,000 career points. After the game, Doncic spoke with the media.

Journalist: Luka, you scored 600 points total in March, the highest single-month scoring this March, and even surpassed Kobe. All this came while the team was on a winning streak. Do you feel a special sense of achievement?
Doncic: Absolutely, definitely. If we weren't winning, the stats wouldn't really matter. So this current winning streak is very meaningful to me. We just need to keep playing this way.
Journalist: Earlier when we interviewed Redick, he emphasized that the team's rise isn't just due to you, James, or Reaves, but the entire team. Over the past three, four, or five weeks, what do you think is the core reason for the team's real transformation?
Doncic: That's exactly right. It's not enough for just a few players to perform well. If someone plays great but others don't, we still can't win. I feel everyone is in good form now, giving their all whenever they step on the court, and everyone is fighting for each other.

Journalist: Who won the team's dunk contest between you and Reaves?
Doncic: I won. He had three, I had four.
Journalist: Speaking of teammates, Laravia's shooting hasn't been the best over the past month, but he's been very focused defensively, playing tough in many possessions. Today he also made a few dunks and layups while maintaining his defense. What was your reaction seeing that?
Doncic: He played exceptionally well today and has always contributed a lot to the team. Sometimes shots don't fall, but he impacts the game in other ways, and he does that every game. We truly appreciate everything he does for the team.
Journalist: The team's success in the second half of the season relies on everyone's effort in the locker room. And you, Reaves, and James also have significant influence outside the team. How have you three blended so seamlessly and spread that atmosphere to the whole team?
Doncic: I can't really pinpoint exactly how it happened, but it's just a rhythm that naturally developed during games. We gradually found a way to play together. I think our ceiling is even higher than where we are now. We all understand basketball well, so it comes naturally.

Journalist: The MVP buzz around you is growing louder, and another 40+ game only fuels it more. Wembanyama has been campaigning for votes recently. Would you consider campaigning for yourself? If so, what would your reasons be?
Doncic: I've never done that, so I won't do it. I'm not the one voting anyway. But I think I'm playing pretty well, and the team keeps winning. That's all I have to say.
Journalist: It seems you take trash talk seriously, and being provoked gives you an extra layer of motivation. Is this something you pride yourself on, or does it genuinely give you an extra boost, triggering a stronger performance?
Doncic: Sometimes it does. But I don't pride myself on it. It's just something that happens often on the court, and sometimes it really fires me up.
Journalist: The Cavaliers are one of the league's best offensive teams. How did you contain their backcourt duo Harden and Mitchell?
Doncic: It was really tough. We know both are elite players, but I think our communication was excellent, forcing them into tough shots instead of easy layups and open threes. We did a good job in that aspect.
