Doncic's agent, Bill Duffy, stated they will apply for a "special exception" to help his client remain eligible for end-of-season awards. Notably, just days before the injury, Doncic reached 600 points in March — a rare achievement in NBA history. His peak form was the key factor helping the Lakers achieve 15 wins in their last 17 games.
