On April 5 Beijing time, the Trail Blazers announced that the team has recalled Yang Hansen from the G League affiliate Mix. In yesterday's G League playoff Western Conference semifinal, the Mix lost 95-107 to the defending champion Stockton Kings. Yang Hansen scored 20 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks, shooting 9 out of 17. With the Mix eliminated, Yang Hansen's G League journey for this season has concluded.

During this season's G League regular season, Yang Hansen played 14 games, averaging 17.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game, with a field goal percentage of 62.4%, a three-point percentage of 32.1%, and a free throw percentage of 75%. In the playoffs, he played 2 games, averaging 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks per game, with a field goal percentage of 52.2%.
The Mix team also posted a group photo today to bid farewell to the 2025-26 season. Yang Hansen is not present in this group photo. Some fans asked in the comments where Hansen was, and a reply quickly clarified: technically, Hansen is not a member of the Mix; he was assigned by the Trail Blazers to the Mix for training and games, so his absence from the farewell group photo is not surprising. Previously, when the Mix posted a playoff advancement poster, Yang Hansen was also missing, which sparked discussion.

Regardless, Yang Hansen did not get many development opportunities with the Trail Blazers this season; he gained more playing time with the Mix and improved through training and games. The Mix head coach also likes Hansen and has praised his noticeable progress multiple times. Earlier, Splitter emphasized the importance of Hansen's offseason training, hoping he could seize the opportunity to improve, as there are many areas where Hansen still needs to progress.
For Hansen, if he is not assigned to the G League next season, it might indicate that he has made sufficiently significant progress.
