It's official! Hello, Philadelphia! A championship-winning guard joins forces with LeBron James.

It's official: Pope has agreed to a buyout with the Memphis Grizzlies. After clearing waivers, he will head to Philadelphia on a one-year, $3.9 million deal.

LeBron James shared a post about Pope joining the 76ers on his social media, welcoming his former teammate. The two played together on the Lakers during the 2019-20 campaign, where they helped the team secure the NBA championship.

KCP was born on February 18, 1993. Standing at 1.96m with a 2.03m wingspan, he is a guard who was the 8th pick in the 2013 draft. During his prime, he was considered an elite 3-and-D wing, but although he has lost some of his former glory, he is still a capable rotation player. In the previous season, he appeared in 51 games for Memphis, logging 21.3 minutes per contest while putting up 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, shooting 41% from the floor and 31.6% from beyond the arc.

There's no doubt that the 76ers will be a formidable team next season. Their roster has a good mix of youth, prime talent, and experience. As long as they remain healthy, they are certainly one of the top contenders for the title, adding even more excitement to an already fiercely competitive Eastern Conference.
