Porter Jr. has played the final game of his Nuggets career? Latest next house odds: Warriors lead the Lakers third

On May 21, Beijing time, Denver media Nugglove mentioned the situation of Michael Porter Jr., and they believe that Porter Jr. may have played the last game of his Nuggets career. His latest next odds have also been released, with the Warriors at the top of the list and the Lakers in third.

Nugglove noted that Porter Jr.'s contract has become unaffordable for the Nuggets.

Porter Jr.'s salary is about $36 million this season, which will rise to $38.3 million next season and more than $40 million the year after. This is a star-level salary, but under the current collective bargaining agreement, teams cannot pay non-star salaries. Sadly, Porter Jr. is more of a role player these days.

His progress has never met expectations, and his performances have been consistent but far from great. Although he is still a top scorer with a height advantage, there has been little improvement in ball control and playmaking. His defensive and rebounding abilities have also stagnated, making him a fairly one-dimensional player.

While a height of 2.08m paired with top-tier three-point shooting is a good trait, it's not enough to match Porter Jr.'s contract. His growth has been too slow, and he is nearing the maturity of his career as he enters his 27-year-old season. The Nuggets need to rebalance their roster and salary structure, and Porter Jr. is clearly the first to break through.

Denver has to somehow get out of this contract. Unfortunately, his trade value in the league isn't high, but the Nuggets need to free up salary space and convert it into multiple role players to bolster roster depth.

With Murray and Gordon's contract extensions on effect, the team will need to make significant changes to the roster. Jokic (who already has a super-max contract and Braun is on the verge of a big extension.)

The salary space will be unbalanced, and the Nuggets will have to be proactive and address the problem before it gets worse to avoid being forced to passively trade players they want to keep. According to multiple media outlets, Porter Jr. is the most likely player to leave the Nuggets this summer.

The latest odds for Porter Jr. have also been released: the Warriors +300 are in the first place, the Bulls are in second place with +400, and the Lakers are in third place with +600. The Magic are fourth, the Celtics are fifth, the Clippers and Trail Blazers are tied for sixth, the Suns are eighth and the Raptors are ninth.

Do you think Porter Jr. will leave the Nuggets? Which team will he wear? Feel free to leave a message to express your opinions.
