Opponent: Sneakily stealing towers again!

This might be the common experience for all players facing Li Xin: once this hero reaches mid-to-late game, he starts a frantic tower-stealing rhythm. Especially when encountering a Li Xin with the Teleport summoner skill, it's almost 100% certain he'll play a tower-stealing style, which can be very annoying. Little Brother has encountered this several times—having the high-ground tower destroyed is frequent, and a few times even after winning a team fight, the base was directly stolen.

The biggest characteristic of this hero is that in Dark Form, his tower destruction speed is extremely fast. If you return to defend slightly slower, a tower will basically be taken. Meanwhile, Dark Li Xin is very "slippery": his first skill not only provides high-speed acceleration but also carries a crowd-control immunity effect. So in many cases, he destroys and runs—ordinary heroes simply can't catch or hold him. If he has the Teleport summoner skill, it's even harder to catch him.

More crucially, if Dark Li Xin adopts a tower-stealing playstyle, he's usually a lane-pushing expert, so his own economy won't be low. Some fragile heroes trying to stop him from destroying towers might even get counter-killed, easily "losing both the wife and the troops".

Teammate: How to play when we're missing someone on the front line?

This is what often frustrates players who have Li Xin as a teammate. When Li Xin is obsessed with stealing towers, your side often faces a 4v5 situation. Unless you have an economic advantage, most such team fights are destined to fail. Logically, you should avoid fighting, but there are always teammates who either suddenly get reckless or position too forward. Once they get engaged, you have to join the fight, making every team battle strenuous.

Moreover, the Li Xin who goes to steal towers mostly has a negative record—meaning many deaths. In such cases, he actually can't contribute much. If he successfully steals a tower, it's somewhat acceptable since towers don't regenerate—that's still a gain. The fear is that the tower isn't stolen, and he dies too, which is truly "trying to steal a chicken but losing the rice".

How to Counter

So currently, Li Xin is very similar to the earlier version of Bai Li Shou Yue—players on both sides don't really like him. How to counter then? The best method is obviously to ban him directly, so neither side can use him, solving it permanently. Of course, there are other methods:

If he's the opponent, then in team composition, you must choose some strong lane-pushing heroes. Because most Li Xin players aren't "chicken claw style"—they only start destroying towers when the lane is pushed in. So if you manage lane pressure well, Li Xin often has no chance. For neutral resource control, especially the Shadow Lord must be firmly held. The Shadow Realm can quickly clear one lane's minions, making it hard for Li Xin to advance. Additionally, it's recommended to choose the Teleport skill yourself, allowing more timely defense to avoid losing towers unnecessarily.

If he's a teammate, first you must strengthen your own team composition, prioritizing team-fight-oriented heroes. This way, when facing a 4v5, you won't be completely helpless. Then, when you should avoid fighting, definitely avoid it—try to clear lanes only with ranged skills to reduce the risk of being engaged. Finally, if Li Xin gets focused, use this window of time well to collect resources or secure vision, minimizing losses as much as possible.
