Hello to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is World Game Hub.
While the LPL is currently running EWC qualifier matches, the LCK's second stage has officially begun. On the first day, two matches were played: HLE versus BRO and T1 versus KT.

The result was a direct and crushing defeat for the highly anticipated T1 opening match, as they were swept by their former "charging station."
Faker's first match ended in a heavy defeat, Doran suffered a solo kill.
The top two teams in the LCK region were completely eliminated in this year's global Pioneer Tournament, swept by G2 with a 6-0 record. GEN's repeated underperformance at world events reminded everyone of the world-dominant T1, leading to hopes that T1 would erupt in the second stage and help the LCK reclaim the top spot.

However, just as the LCK's second stage kicked off, T1 delivered a major shock to viewers by unexpectedly losing to KT. In the first game, they were even shut out by KT with a 12-0 kill score, with all five positions collapsing.
Top laner Doran's form was particularly poor. He picked the champion hero Wolf Mother, attempted to coordinate with Oner's mistake, and was directly solo-killed by KT's top laner. Oner had no rhythm at all, his Jarvan IV's total damage of 2.2K paid homage to Xiaohu. Mid laner Faker's Orianna was repeatedly targeted and also collapsed. In the disadvantaged situation, T1 failed to mount effective counterattacks as they had before and quickly lost the first game.

Entering the second game, Faker brought out Taliyah and started to exert influence, first cooperating with Oner to kill BDD, then assisting the bot lane by securing kills on the side lanes. However, T1's team decision-making had issues; despite poor form, they forcibly invaded the jungle and gave back the advantage. Top laner Doran's K'Sante again actively sought combat and was solo-killed once more by PerfecT. Notably, KT's top laner this game was Vayne.
Peyz face-checked and died instantly, T1's team fights were a mess.
In the mid-game, both sides traded blows somewhat evenly, but in crucial team fights, T1's handling was too poor. They often split their formation; in a key dragon fight, they divided into two groups but achieved nothing, instead being broken through by the opponent. Subsequently, KT executed brilliant team fight拉扯 and coordination, with Yena nearly securing a pentakill.

Faker was solo-killed once by BDD this game, but overall he performed diligently. Even in a disadvantaged jungle situation, he managed to find an opportunity to kill BDD. However, in a team fight, Peyz walked face-first into Annie and died instantly. Although he stole a Baron to redeem himself, in the final team fight T1's formation remained scattered, and they were swept away by KT in one push, ultimately suffering an upset 0-2 loss to their opponent.
This match's performance undoubtedly greatly disappointed T1 fans. Showing such a state right at the start of the season raises questions about what T1 did during the offseason. Their first-stage results were already poor, and now the beginning of the second stage pours cold water on fans' hopes.

In a横向 comparison, T1's performance somewhat resembled TES playing in the qualifiers, though TES's performance was clearly much worse. TES's first game against AL ended 19-0, and the second was also a碾压. T1's second game at least traded blows back and forth with their opponent.
Poor lane performance in top and bot lanes, T1's current problems are severe.
After the Pioneer Tournament concluded, many said the current LOL is a lane-dominant version, especially emphasizing lane performance in top and bot lanes. The root reason the two LCK powerhouses were swept was their insufficient focus on lane phase, leading to excessive side lane劣势, preventing mid-jungle rhythm from developing. After the lane-swap version ended, LOL clearly places more weight on players' individual skill.

And T1恰好 appears to be a type where both top and bot lane performance are relatively weak. Doran played well in the first stage, but it's hard to guarantee he won't encounter issues in the second stage. The LCK now indeed seems somewhat lacking in top-tier top laners. The lane pressure Bin is expected to bring this year likely won't be easily withstanded by LCK top laners.
Bot laner Peyz is更是 recognized as a短板 within T1. His lane ability is far inferior compared to Gumayusi.
Personally, I believe the problems T1 has暴露 are indeed quite severe. Although we often say T1's poor league performance is a team tradition and they can still杀回来 at world events, fulfilling this规律的前提 is being able to enter world events. The league must also be progressed step by step, and encountered difficulties must be actively addressed.

It's not acceptable for T1 to摆烂 entirely before world events. T1 still needs to continuously strive to adjust themselves, identify problems and solve them, thereby establishing the基础条件 for erupting at world events. The current难点 must also be正视 and diligently resolved by T1.
