LPL champion tears up on stage, JKL secures his first kill upon return! 369 gets sealed, new top laner is too fierce

Hello to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is World Game Hub.

Yesterday, the LPL featured two matches: the Pioneer Tournament champion BLG had their first match of the new stage, while TES played their second match, facing AL again. The result was BLG winning smoothly, and TES surprisingly defeating AL.

In this round, TES showed a return to form, with the new top laner performing excellently; after the match, Tian even shed tears on stage.

The new top laner is too fierce, JKL secures his first kill upon return

Before the LPL season started, TES had already faced AL once in an EWC online qualifier match, playing a BO3 series. That match was described as a battle that shattered TES players' morale: top laner 369 was directly dominated by SaintVicious, ending with a 1-13 record across two games, and announced he would rest afterward.

The "big brother" also had a 0-11 record across two games without securing a single kill. After the LPL season began, TES still performed poorly against IG, losing 2-0, with JKL again posting a 0-11 record. His two comeback matches resulted in a 0-22 tally, drawing ridicule from viewers.

Now facing AL again, most viewers expected TES to lose, but unexpectedly TES erupted.

The new top laner Zuian performed excellently in both games. In the first game, his Renekton secured two solo kills against SaintVicious in the top lane, gaining advantage, and in the dragon fight he charged forward helping the team secure some advantage. JKL also got his first kill upon return, and established some advantage during the laning phase.

Despite facing huge deficits due to continuous turbulence in the mid-game, TES executed a comeback team fight in the late game. SaintVicious flanked and initiated but got isolated and died first; Tian entered, ulted two, coordinated with teammates to ace, and ended the game in one push.

LPL champion tears up on stage, successfully avenges Tarzan

In the second game, top laner Zuian picked Jayce, executing various combos smoothly. Meanwhile, champion jungler Tian delivered his strongest performance since his return: picking Vi, he ganked mid lane with an extreme Q-flash prediction play to kill Ryze, helping the team secure first blood.

Then he coordinated with teammates to dive top lane and kill Yorick, and solo ganked top lane again with Jayce to secure another kill. After gaining top lane advantage, he returned to mid lane to cooperate with Shanks and kill Ryze.

After AL invaded the jungle, Tian again used Q to catch Tarzan, then ulted Corki to secure consecutive kills.

Early game TES secured 10 kills, with Tian contributing 9 kills/assists, fully controlling the tempo. TES executed a perfect push tempo; later Tian initiated multiple times helping TES crush AL to win the match.

Recall that during the qualifier, Tian was repeatedly toyed with by Tarzan in the jungle; now he finally achieved revenge. In the post-match interview, Tian shed tears on stage, truly carrying immense pressure; now he proved his capability, still able to roam freely on the LPL stage.

369 gets sealed, becomes TES's sole victim

After the match, netizens commented that SaintVicious entered the fray personally: first dominating 369 to shatter his morale and seal him, then sealing himself to nurture TES's new top laner. This rest period likely makes 369 TES's sole victim; aside from slightly weaker basic farming skills, the new top laner appears better in all aspects compared to 369.

Personally, the key reason the new top laner is better is his style—at least daring and aggressive—with solid mechanics. 369, after many years and experiences, lacks motivation, causing most TES match outcomes to be irrelevant to him. Such veterans avoid risky plays and blame, naturally unable to deliver good performances.

Regarding other players, JKL and Tian, by gradually adapting to match rhythm, will improve their form.

Overall, after defeating AL, TES seems moving toward the direction predicted during the offseason. Their overall configuration can rank high in the Summit Group. If players maintain good form and teamwork improves, TES's ceiling won't be low, potentially aiming for LPL top four or higher. Hope they ride this momentum from beating AL to perform even better.
