All the participating teams in the 2025 MSI have been confirmed, GEN and T1 will go straight to the knockout round, and the four teams in the play-in round will compete for two places

The 2025MSI will kick off in Vancouver, Canada, and the competition will be held from June 27 to July 12. With the end of the second stage (spring competition) of each competition area, the list of participating teams has also been officially released.

According to the latest format of this year's MSI,The LCK region has an added advantage due to its victory at the Global Pioneer Tournament, with No. 1 seed GEN and No. 2 seed T1 advancing directly to the knockout stage.

In addition to the LCK region, the No. 1 seed teams from other regions will also advance directly to the elimination:

LPL Division: AL Team

LEC Region: Team MKOI

LTA region: Team FLY

LCP Division: CFO Team

So far, a total of six teams have entered the knockout stage without participating in the play-in round.

The second seeds from each region will compete for the remaining two knockout spots through the play-in rounds, which include:

LPL Division: BLG Team

LEC Division: Team G2

LCP Division: Team GAM

LTA: Team FUR

The MSI Play-In Tournament will be a BO5 double-elimination tournament, with the two winning teams taking on six teams to play in the playoffs.
