Manchester United officially announced Amorim's 5-man coaching staff, which officially started on Monday! It was very sad to reveal that Vanney had no chance to stay in the team

Manchester United officially announced the five-man coaching staff of new boss Ruben Amorim on Saturday, with Carlos Fernandes, Jorge Vital, Adelio Candido, Emanuel Ferro and Paulo Barreira all joining from Sporting. Ten Hag's coaching staff is retained by regular coach Darren Fletcher, set-piece coach Andreas Georgeson and goalkeeper coach Craig Mawson.

Fernandez, Candido and Ferro are Amorim's assistant coaches, with Fernandez being the head assistant coach while Vital is the goalkeeper coach and Barella is a sports scientist. They will start working on Monday, but Amorim's participation in training depends on whether the UK work visa is approved as scheduled. Amorim's first game is at Ipswich Town next Sunday, and despite being in the relegation zone, he has scored as many Premier League goals as Manchester United this season.

At just 29 years old, Fernandes has always been Amorim's number two, and the two met when they were at Benfica, when Amorim was still a player! The pair have been partners since Amorim first coached Casa Pia, a third-division team, and have worked together ever since. Amorim has also compared himself to Bobby Robson and referred to Fernandes as Mourinho to express the idea that his assistant is better than himself, and he joked that he has signed a 15-year contract with him to avoid flying solo!

Carlos Fernandez can be referred to simply as Fernandes Fernandes, and United fans are looking forward to Amorim buying back Spanish left-back Alvaro Fernandes, as that would leave the club with a combination of Fee, Fee B and Fee.

Candido is younger than Fernandes, he is only 28 years old, and Manchester United have eight first-team players in the older ranks! Candido also joined Amorim from Casa Pia, who took over in 2018 with Fernandes and Candido already coaching the youth team in the squad. A year later, Amorim decided to take Candido with him when he left Braga, and the trio then went to Sporting de Portugal together.

The 45-year-old Ferro has not been working with Amorim for as long, but the latter has a lot of trust in him. If Amorim himself is unable to attend the press conference, he usually appoints Ferro to deal with the Portuguese press instead. He came through Benfica's youth team, and after a brief spell in Malaysia and Tunisia between 2013 and 2015, Ferro returned home to join Sporting de Portugal, where he met Amorim.

Goalkeeper coach Vital is 63 years old, the oldest member of the team, having played professional football for 20 years. He started working with Amorim at Braga and was considered the best at goalkeeper distribution. At Manchester United, the Portuguese will work with his original coach Mawson to train goalkeepers such as Andre Onana.

Barella, a sports scientist who worked for Manchester United's arch-rivals Liverpool as a team physiotherapist for Brendan Rodgers, completed a PhD at John Mures University in 2017 with a thesis on hamstring prevention. After leaving Liverpool, he joined another Premier League rival, Arsenal, before spending five seasons as a Portuguese sports scientist and injury specialist. In United's team doctor's department, he will meet more former Arsenal employees, with head of team doctor Gary O'Driscoll and chief physiotherapist Jordan Reese both hailing from Arsenal.

When Amorim and five aides flew from Lisbon to Manchester last week, the flight attracted 11,000 people, and even Manchester Airport joined the carnival and posted: "A private jet arrived from Portugal in the afternoon, do you want to know who's on board?"

However, when Amorim's team were strolling around Manchester's bustling city centre over the weekend, no one seemed to notice the 39-year-old Portuguese young marshal with his beard and signature smile.

However, The Sun says Amorim will soon become one of the most familiar faces in the UK, so he should enjoy his current ease. And, if he can't be so low-key in the transfer market, Manchester United is not destined to buy a bargain.

United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was unable to join the team, was said to be devastated after leaving the club, and although he told the players in the dressing room to support the new manager before leaving, he was still devastated because he loved Manchester United.

Former Netherlands international Andre Oyer, a friend of Ruud van Nistelrooy's friend who worked with Ruud van Nistelrooy on the PSV Eindhoven coaching staff, revealed: "Ruud [Ruud] wants to stay as an assistant and if he doesn't want to work with Amorim, he will say so. Luther had the opportunity to be manager at another team, but he didn't accept the offer because he wanted to work at his favourite club."

Oyer reminded Amorim that fans might think of Ruud van Nistelrooy if he didn't do well enough in charge of United. "Don't forget that Luther did well at Manchester United, drew with Chelsea and won the other three games. You could tell that the United fans liked him a lot, just have to look at the reaction of the crowd after the final game he led the team. He did a great job in difficult situations. As manager, he is unbeaten. If Amorim doesn't get good results in the first few races, the crowd may call for Luther again."
