
The Final Round is divided into three groups: Group A includes Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, Tay Ninh, and Song Lam Nghe An 1; Group B includes Quang Nam, PVF, The Cong Viettel 1, and Can Tho; Group C includes Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi 1, SHB Da Nang, and Dak Lak.
At the Opening Ceremony, Ms. Doan Thi Thu Trang, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation and Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee, stated: The National U15 Football Championship is an important platform within the youth training system, contributing to creating a competitive environment, enhancing professional skills, and accumulating experience for young players; it also serves as a basis for discovering and nurturing talents for clubs and the national team in the future.
This is the fourth time Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company has partnered with the tournament, demonstrating a long-term commitment to contributing to the development of Vietnamese youth football. Through sponsorship activities, the company aims to join hands with the Vietnam Football Federation in building a healthy competitive environment, helping young players develop comprehensively both professionally and mentally.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the inaugural match of Group A between Ho Chi Minh City U15 and Tay Ninh U15 took place vibrantly with a flurry of goals. The first half witnessed Ho Chi Minh City U15's dominant play. In the 10th minute, from outside the penalty area, number 8 Cao Thanh Danh received the ball and unleashed a beautiful long-range shot, opening the score 1-0. By the 26th minute, capitalizing on a defensive mistake by Tay Ninh U15, Nguyen Hung (number 27) seized the ball and scored, raising the score to 2-0 for the home team.

Entering the second half, Tay Ninh U15 adjusted their tactics, pushing their formation higher to attack and continuously applying pressure. Their efforts were rewarded with two goals scored by Anh Hao and Huu Quang, respectively in the 53rd and 62nd minutes, bringing the match back to a 2-2 balance.
Further difficulties arose for Ho Chi Minh City U15 when Nguyen Anh Khoa received his second yellow card after fouling Huu Quang, forcing him to leave the field, leaving the home team with only 10 players. Taking advantage of the numerical superiority, Tay Ninh U15 continued to increase pressure and in the 75th minute, Tuan Anh scored, raising the score to 3-2.
Not giving up, Ho Chi Minh City U15 found an equalizer in the 81st minute. From a corner kick situation, the ball was accurately lofted for Dan Nguyen to jump high and head it, balancing the score at 3-3. The match had 4 minutes of added time, and the drama peaked in the final added minute when Tay Ninh U15 was awarded a penalty. From the 11-meter spot, Anh Hao executed successfully, securing a 4-3 victory for Tay Ninh U15 over Ho Chi Minh City U15.
In the other match of Group A, Song Lam Nghe An 1 U15 secured a 2-1 victory over Ninh Binh U15.
The Final Round of the National U15 Football Championship - Modern Cup 2026 will continue until April 14th.
