L'Equipe recently published its annual report on the salaries of the highest-earning players in Europe's top five national leagues, which include the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1. The results show that Real Madrid's duo Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr are leading, surpassing Erling Haaland.
Accordingly, Mbappe and Vinicius both receive a salary of approximately 2.67 million Euros per month, equivalent to 32 million Euros per year, making them the two highest-earning players in Europe currently. Haaland follows closely with 2.63 million Euros per month. The next positions belong to Bayern Munich's duo Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala, both receiving 2.1 million Euros per month.
Notably, Mohamed Salah is the only other name exceeding the 2 million Euros per month mark, amid the likelihood that he will leave Liverpool during the transfer window this upcoming summer. The list also includes the presence of many veteran stars like David Alaba (1.88 million Euros/month), Casemiro, Virgil van Dijk, Manuel Neuer (all 1.75 million Euros/month), and Robert Lewandowski (1.73 million Euros/month).
The remaining two positions in the top 10 belong to Jude Bellingham and Jan Oblak, both receiving 1.67 million Euros per month.
Although Mbappe and Vinicius are currently equal in base salary, the French forward is still considered the highest-earning player at Real Madrid due to substantial bonuses in his contract. These bonuses are designed as compensation since the Royal club did not pay a transfer fee to bring him from Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent in 2024.
On the other hand, some notable names are absent from the top 10. Ousmane Dembele currently receives about 1.5 million Euros per month at PSG, similar to Bukayo Saka and Bruno Fernandes.
| Rank | Player | Club | Monthly Salary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1= | Kylian Mbappe | Real Madrid | 2.67 million Euros |

Meanwhile, young talent Lamine Yamal (one of the most valuable players in the world) is also absent from the top 10, receiving only 1.33 million Euros per month. However, his contract is structured with many attractive bonus clauses, which could increase his income by approximately 10 million Euros per year if he achieves milestones such as scoring goals, regular appearances, or winning major individual awards.
Experts believe that when entering future renewal negotiations, Yamal could certainly raise his base salary to approach the group of Europe's highest-earning players like Mbappe or Vinicius.
