On April 3rd afternoon, the second round matches in Groups B and C of the National U15 Finals – Modern Cup 2026 continued vibrantly with many noteworthy results. Among them, The Cong Viettel I and Hanoi I both secured decisive victories, temporarily moving to the top of their respective groups.
In Group B, the encounter between The Cong Viettel I and Can Thơ was exciting as the young army-clad team demonstrated superiority, controlled the game, and maintained continuous pressure. In the 20th minute, Thanh Long scored the opening goal 1-0 following a sharp attacking combination. Before the first half ended, Dinh Dung doubled the lead in the 44th minute with a header from a free-kick situation.
In the second half, despite Can Thơ's efforts to push forward and create some opportunities, they could not significantly challenge The Cong Viettel I's defense. In the 81st minute, Tai Loc increased the score to 3-0, before Dinh Dung completed his brace in the 86th minute, sealing a 4-0 victory for The Cong Viettel I. In the simultaneous match, PVF was held to a 1-1 draw by Quang Nam in a fiercely contested game as predicted. With the point earned, Quang Nam temporarily stands second in Group B with 4 points, equal to The Cong Viettel I but with a lower goal difference.
In Group C, the focus was on the clash between Dak Lak and Hanoi I. Despite being rated higher, Hanoi I faced considerable difficulty in the first 20 minutes against the determined play of the Central Highlands representative. However, from the 26th to the 31st minute, Duc Dat shone with a brace, helping Hanoi I take a 2-0 lead.
