Despite facing highly-rated host Thailand, Vietnam's U20 women's team confidently aims to earn points.
On April 3rd evening, Vietnam's U20 women's team continued training in Bangkok (Thailand), finalizing last preparations before their match against host Thailand's U20 women's team in the second round of Group A at the 2026 AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup Finals.
The training session took place in a focused and serious atmosphere. The coaching staff reviewed the lineup, adjusted tactical plans, and emphasized requirements for cohesion and discipline in gameplay.
Before the training session, defender Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh shared about the team's preparation: "Thailand's U20 team is always a strong opponent, so we have prepared thoroughly for tomorrow's match. Regarding my physical condition, I am fully ready for the game. I and the whole team are highly determined to win."
Analyzing the opponent, Thuy Linh noted that Thailand's U20 women's team possesses notable strengths: "The strengths of Thailand's U20 women's team are home advantage, good individual technique, and good bouncing. The team will prepare mentally, unite, and be determined to win."
The player, who is part of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club, also sent a message to fans during the team's away journey: "This time the team is playing away from home, we hope fans will always support and follow us."
According to the schedule, Vietnam's U20 women's team will face Thailand's U20 women's team at 20:00 on April 4th at Thammasat Stadium (Bangkok, Thailand). In the first round, Thailand's U20 women's team won 3-2 against Bangladesh's U20 women's team and currently temporarily rank second in Group A.
