Midfielder Moises Caicedo becomes the latest Chelsea player who does not rule out leaving the club, adding to manager Liam Rosenior's headaches in managing the dressing room.
The 24-year-old star confirms he is not currently thinking about leaving London, but also does not close the door on a future move to Real Madrid.
Speaking to AS, Caicedo said: "You never know in football, right? I have a contract with Chelsea. Honestly, I haven't thought about another club or leaving London, but ultimately, you can't predict anything. I just want to enjoy football. I have a contract and want to continue playing as long as life allows. After that, we'll see what happens. I have a contract, but let's wait to see what the future brings."
Caicedo's statement is considered sensitive, especially at a time when teammate Enzo Fernandez has just been suspended for two matches for expressing a desire to live in Madrid. Manager Rosenior confirmed the punishment and emphasized: "As a club, we have made the decision. He will not play against Port Vale and will also be absent against Manchester City. Such statements are disappointing. Regarding his personality and character, I have nothing negative to say about Enzo. But a line related to team culture was crossed, and we had to act. This is a collective decision. The door is not closed for Enzo; this is just a suspension."

Fernandez will miss the matches against Port Vale in the FA Cup and Manchester City in the Premier League. Nevertheless, Rosenior still respects the player and confirms the door is not closed.
Not only Fernandez, defender Marc Cucurella also drew attention by publicly criticizing the club's transfer policy after being eliminated from the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain. He stated Chelsea is "far from top-level" and that signing only young players could hinder trophy ambitions.
Manager Rosenior revealed he had a 30-minute conversation with Cucurella, stressing players should communicate directly with the coaching staff instead of making public statements. "I had a very good exchange with Marc. I always tell players that if there's a problem, speak directly to me and the leadership. What disappointed me is that he didn't do so before the interview. I want players to communicate openly for the club's benefit. We've had such conversations with Reece James, and that's why he renewed his contract. We know we need to improve and have plans for the summer."
The English manager also affirmed Cucurella remains fully committed to the team: "He is a passionate person who always wants to perform well. In the interview, he spoke from emotion. I reminded him he can always talk directly to me. That takes time, especially since I've only been here for two and a half months and the team has played 20 matches. But Marc wants to stay and believes in the club's direction."
Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2023 with a contract lasting until 2033. However, amid multiple players hinting at their futures, the Stamford Bridge club faces significant challenges both on and off the pitch.
