Dinh Bac sends an extremely joyful signal to coach Kim Sang-sik.

Nguyen Dinh Bac finally scored his first goal in V.League 2025/26 after a long series of silent matches.

Entering round 17, CAHN quickly imposed their game plan against the visiting Han River team, taking advantage of their home field at Hang Day Stadium. In the 7th minute, the home team broke the deadlock when Quang Hai delivered a precise pass, allowing Stefan Mauk to surge forward and shoot a dangerous strike into the far corner, opening the score at 1-0.

After the early goal, CAHN continued to maintain strong pressure. In the 17th minute, Dinh Bac had a notable opportunity when he sprinted to receive a through pass, but could not finish as goalkeeper Van Toan quickly rushed out to close the angle. However, just minutes later, Stefan Mauk completed a double, raising the score to 2-0.

Nevertheless, the efforts of the visiting team did not yield results. In the 30th minute, a major turning point of the match arrived when Dinh Bac made his mark. From Minh Phuc's long lofted pass, the 2004-born striker accelerated and broke away. Goalkeeper Van Toan rushed out to clear the ball unsuccessfully, allowing Dinh Bac to regain possession and easily put the ball into the empty net.

This is also Dinh Bac's first goal in this season's V.League after 15 appearances, a milestone that carries significant meaning in relieving immense pressure for the young CAHN striker. Previously, Dinh Bac had made a big impact by winning the 2026 Asian U23 Golden Boot award with 4 goals, contributing to Vietnam U23's third-place finish overall. However, upon returning to domestic competition, he experienced a prolonged "dry spell" despite always putting in effort.

Dinh Bac scoring his first goal in this season's V.League is a positive signal for coach Kim Sang Sik.

The differences in the competitive environment, the high intensity of V.League, and the need to compete for position with foreign players have caused the 2004-born striker to face many difficulties in finding goals. Nevertheless, with his speed, technique, and ability to create breakthroughs, Dinh Bac is still regarded as one of the notable talents in Vietnamese football.

After this pressure-relieving goal, if he continues to maintain impressive form in the CAHN jersey, Dinh Bac could fully return to the Vietnam national team in the near future. This is an important year for the Vietnam national team as they aim for two major tournaments: the ASEAN Cup and the FIFA ASEAN Cup, where young, dynamic players like the 2004-born striker could become noteworthy options.
