Early this morning, Vietnam's U17 women's national team departed for training in Nayoga, Japan, to prepare for the 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship Finals, which will take place from May 1st in China.

According to the plan, Vietnam's U17 women's national team will train in Japan for over a week. During this period, the coaching staff will focus on enhancing physical fitness, refining technical skills, and improving gameplay through high-quality training sessions. Additionally, they will play three friendly matches with local teams to assess the squad and accumulate international competition experience.

In the 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship, Vietnam's U17 women's national team is in Group A alongside opponents China, Thailand, and Myanmar. This group is considered highly competitive, requiring thorough preparation from the entire team to aim for a strong result in the continental tournament.

After completing the training camp in Japan, Vietnam's U17 women's national team will return to Hanoi to continue training and finalize preparations before departing for China to participate in the 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship.

The 2026 U17 Women's Asian Championship Finals will be held in China from April 30th to May 17th, 2026, with the participation of 12 national teams – an increase of four teams compared to the previous edition, marking the 10th time the tournament has been organized.

During the qualifying rounds, Vietnam's U17 women's team demonstrated consistent performance, achieving positive results in the group stage matches and successfully meeting the goal of advancing to join the top 12 teams in the continent.
