Garnacho regrets leaving Manchester United, stating he still loves the Red Devils! After just half a year at Chelsea, he is already on the verge of being offloaded.

Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho admits he regrets the way his partnership with Manchester United ended, believing it could have been handled better. He expresses that leaving the Red Devils was painful and seems to regret making that decision. At that time, he repeatedly clashed with the club, particularly having a public feud with then-manager Ruben Amorim, which made his departure inevitable.

In the Europa League final last May, Garnacho, who had specifically dyed his hair blonde, found himself relegated to the bench. After the team lost, he publicly expressed his dissatisfaction. His brother Roberto also blasted Amorim's decision on social media, accusing him of trying to make Garnacho a scapegoat. After the season ended, Amorim angrily berated Garnacho in front of the entire team, demanding that he transfer away.

Garnacho was subsequently excluded from the first-team squad, forced to train alone, becoming one of the "five rats" in the dressing room. He wore the No. 9 jersey that Rashford had used during his loan at Aston Villa, sparking further controversy and displeasure among fans. However, Garnacho now insists he harbors no resentment towards Manchester United, having spent five years at Carrington with deep affection.

When asked by Premier League official television if he regretted transferring away from Manchester United, Garnacho replied: "Perhaps yes. Because I truly love Manchester United. I started my career in Spain, but United gave me trust, bringing me into the Carrington youth system and later into the first team. That period was absolutely wonderful, with fans fully supportive and an incredible stadium atmosphere—everything was ideal. However, sometimes, for your own life or future development, you have to make changes. I only have fond memories of United."

Recalling his departure process, Garnacho admits he made some mistakes. "I remember in the last six months, my performance at United had significantly declined. I started only sitting on the bench, which wasn't really a big problem since I was only 20 years old. Yet, in my heart, I felt I should start every game." Garnacho said, "Looking back now, perhaps I also blame myself; I did some wrong things."

Nevertheless, Garnacho believes his career still has the chance to turn things around. "I feel truly proud to be here, able to continue playing for a club like Chelsea and staying in the Premier League," he said. "Everyone knows the team's strength and what we can achieve. Sometimes we perform well, sometimes not so satisfactorily. But I am proud to play here."

Garnacho's inner feelings are clearly conflicted: "Regarding United, I have no dissatisfaction with anything at the club, nor any conflict with anyone at the club or my teammates. That was just a phase in life, and life must move on. From that perspective, I have no regrets."

This season, Garnacho has played 37 times across all competitions for Chelsea, scoring 8 goals, but his situation is not ideal. Rumors already suggest Chelsea will consider loaning him out. Argentine club River Plate is interested in a one or two-year loan to help him regain his initial form.

Chelsea's new manager Rosenil praises Garnacho but does not always start him. "Garnacho is a top player, but I adjusted the tactics to control the midfield, so sometimes only one winger plays," the Chelsea manager said. "But Garnacho is a good player, especially his attitude when he doesn't start is also good, training very hard. We must also consider he is only 21, possessing amazing talent and huge potential. The biggest challenge for young players is maintaining consistency. He will definitely have opportunities to play in upcoming matches."

Next week, Chelsea will face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, Garnacho's showdown against his former club. He certainly hopes to play and perform well, proving his old club's decision to sell him for £40 million was wrong. Interestingly, this weekend Chelsea's opponent is Manchester City, giving Garnacho a "Manchester week."
