Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim seems to have ruled out bringing in Djekereish in the summer window, and despite the recent resurgence of rumours between the Red Devils and the 26-year-old Sporting centre-forward, the chances of the club eventually signing him remain unlikely. Teams such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona are more likely to win.
Amorim will naturally want to have the top scorer he has activated in the Portuguese Super League once again, with Djekereish already scoring 51 goals and seven hat-tricks this season. However, the Swedish striker has demanded Champions League qualification for the new club, and while United could still meet that criteria by winning the Europa League, Amorim has stressed that he will not sign a player who does so.
"Bring in Jekarish? I haven't talked to him." 'But if a player only wants to come to Manchester United to play in the Champions League, then he won't come. We want players who are eager to represent Manchester United, not players who just want to play in certain games."
Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg claims Manchester United have held concrete talks over a transfer for Jekereish but have not reached an agreement. 'I was told that there was no agreement between Manchester United and Dzhekerish and that he did not give Manchester United the green light. It's no secret that Amorim liked him so much. As previously reported, concrete talks have begun. Many other top clubs are still competing and the fight for Dzhekerish continues."
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Osimhen, another centre-forward who has been linked with Manchester United for a long time, has a salary requirement of £200,000 a week, but that is the after-tax amount, which means that the actual weekly salary is £400,000!
Osimhen, who has been loaned out to Galatasaray in the Turkish Super League this season, wants to maintain his income level at Napoli after the transfer to show the respect that his new club has for him. "He wants to keep his current pay respected, no different than it was a year ago," Romano said.
A year ago, Osimhen could have moved to the Saudi Arabian Pro League, but Napoli owner De Laurentiis' asking price angered the oil financiers, who gave up on the offer. Chelsea were willing to pay his release money, but the 26-year-old Nigerian striker's demands for treatment allowed the deal to fall through.
Ipswich star Liam Delap has become Amorim's top target, with the Manchester City Academy striker scoring 12 goals in 33 Premier League appearances this season and a £30million transfer this summer following the relegation of the 'Tractor Boys'.
One of the strikers close to joining United is 18-year-old Cameroonian French player Enzo Kana-Biyik, who comes from a football family, with his father Andre and Uncle François Omar-Björk both Cameroon internationals at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, whose father was red in his first game against Argentina and set a record of two suspensions in a tournament, while his uncle beat Argentina. Not only that, but Enzo Cana-Björk's older brother Jean Amer is also a professional footballer, while his 15-year-old brother Lorenzo is in the Paris Saint-Germain youth system.
According to Le Parisien, Björk, who came through the Le Havre academy, will travel to Manchester to complete his transfer. He has scored nine goals in 15 appearances for Le Havre's Under-19 squad this season and has trained with the first team. His contract expires in the summer and according to the rules, United can ignore Le Havre and approach and sign him directly. After joining Manchester United, Björk will be loaned out next season to another club owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Sporting Lausanne in Switzerland.
