Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has said that if Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho wants to join the team, the transfer fee must not be too high. Manchester United are rumoured to have put a £70 million price tag on it, which is an impossible target.
Manna explained: "We're doing some assessments and Garnacho is an important player but he's not our player. Even if one of our important players (Kvaratskhelia) is gone, and is a top player as defined by the manager. Expectations are high, but we must not let that cause us to act on the conditions of Naples."
During the January transfer window, Napoli made an offer of £40 million to Manchester United, but it was rejected. Conte is interested in the 20-year-old Argentina international, but he is not a necessity. Manchester United's Garnacho is believed to be worth between £50 million and £60 million.
Napoli have just signed Manchester City magnate Kevin De Bruyne for free and they don't want to waste time in the summer window, so De Laurentiis could give up if United stick to the high price.
Garnacho fell out with Manchester United boss Amorim at the end of the season, and the two may have reconciled, however, because of Garnacho's personality, the team's plans to bring in Cunha and Mbeumo, and the reality of missing out on European competition, if he stays in the team next season, he will often be used as a substitute, and the farce will definitely be repeated.
BRITISH MEDIA "GIVEMESPORT" REPORTED THAT AMORIM'S HANDLING OF THE SITUATION WEAKENED MANCHESTER'S NEGOTIATING POSITION ON THE SALE OF GARNACHO, BECAUSE NOW EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THE TWO ARE AT ODDS, AND THEY MUST BE DESPERATELY TRYING TO LOWER THE PRICE, WHICH MAY CAUSE GARNACHO'S VALUE TO PLUMMET BY 20 MILLION POUNDS!
Recently, Garnacho traveled to Rome, Italy, for a holiday, but his journey was not considered to be related to a transfer. Interestingly, Garnacho named himself "Cristiano" when he was bowling with his brothers and friends, paying tribute to his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo's former Riyadh Victory is also said to be a potential buyer for him, with the Portuguese superstar rumoured to recommend the Saudis to sign Garnacho, but the latter is unlikely to go to the Middle East to pan for gold.
Manchester United's sale of another left winger, Marcus Rashford, is also at an impasse, with Aston Villa dreaming of joining Barcelona after Aston Villa gave up a £40million buyout. According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the 27-year-old England winger will wait for Barcelona until the final moments of the summer transfer window, with the La Liga champions intending to use a "procrastination" to force United to finally agree to a loan.
Chelsea's official announcement that Jadon Sancho will return is also a problem for Manchester United, with Premier League sidelines of Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle United rumoured to be keeping an eye on him, but given his £250,000-a-week salary and the remaining final year of his contract, potential buyers are only willing to take him on loan. It will be difficult for Manchester United to sell him for £20 million, and it may be possible to reduce the price to 10 million, but the player will need to take a pay cut.
Manchester United's most likely loan player for sale is Antony, who has nine goals and five assists at Real Betis, with Betis chief executive Ramon Alarcón confirming that discussions are underway over a permanent transfer for Manchester United winger Antony. Alarcón met with Manchester United representatives with sporting director Manu Fajardo to discuss the possibility of a transfer.
But Betis' biggest problem is that there is no money. In an interview with Sport, Alarcón said: "Work hard, work hard...... It's too early now. We will move forward little by little, there is still a lot of room in the transfer market. It's going to take a long time, and the summer window hasn't even really started yet."
Although Western media claim that Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are interested in signing the winger and may offer a permanent transfer, it is believed that Antony wants to return to Betis. Antony was named for Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil squad at the end of the season, but failed to play in either game.
Left-back Tyrell Malacia, who spent last season on loan at Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven, is also a player Sir Jim Ratcliffe intends to sell, and it is said that only another Eredivisie side, Ajax, are currently approaching you. PSV Eindhoven could have bought out for €10 million but chose to give it up, Manchester United still want that price, but it may end up being reduced and Malacia's contract expires in 2026.
