Guarding the Arena is exciting! Local caddies and line teams escort the lake net

The 2025 China Tennis Tour CTA1000 Huzhou Open Tennis Tournament recently concluded perfectly at the Huzhou International Clay Tennis Center, and the week-long wonderful event not only provided a high-level competition platform for athletes from all over the country, but also provided a wonderful sports festival for local audiences. In addition, local students from Huzhou participated in this year's Lake Net as event service personnel and made a lot of efforts for the smooth progress of the event.

The caddies and team members of this event are all students majoring in physical education from the College of Life and Health Sciences of Huzhou University, most of whom are members of the school's tennis team, with a total of 43 people, of which 27 are the tournament drivers and 16 are the ball boys of the event.

Talking about the selection work in the early stage of the event, Lu Lu, executive vice president of the Wuxing District Tennis Association, said: "The center court of this event is equipped with caddies, and the division line is mainly to cooperate with the work of the referee team of the tournament. Because the two positions of caddie and line are relatively professional, students with relevant backgrounds and foundations will be selected, and they are all people who understand tennis and the rules of tennis. Everyone signed up spontaneously, and then we screened each person based on their resume and resume. ”

It is reported that many people in the caddies and line teams of the event participated in the ITF Huzhou International Tennis Open last year, which was the first international professional tennis tournament held in the history of Huzhou. After having some service experience, students are able to devote themselves to the work of this event faster and better. However, since this is a clay event, clay is still a relatively scarce type of venue in China, and most students are new to clay tennis tournaments, taking this into account, the organizing committee of the tournament conducted three rounds of training in the early stage.

"Due to the nature of the clay courts, this also presents a certain difficulty for our work. The highlights of the line and the caddie's adaptation to the court environment will be different from that of hard court events, because the clay is uneven and will bounce irregularly, and these characteristics require professional training to adapt better. ”

After a week of high-intensity work, the caddies and the team successfully completed the service content of the event, which was well received by the organizing committee, referee team and players.

"Because everyone has a certain foundation, plus the training is in place, the overall performance is quite good. There may have been some jerky spots in the first two days of the event, but in the middle and late stages, the work was done relatively well, and the event was able to run smoothly and smoothly. Everyone's understanding and application of the rules have been consolidated, and the event is broadcast live across the country, and all the staff pay special attention to grooming, and we are very satisfied with everyone's work. ”

As more and more high-level tennis tournaments settle in Huzhou, more local talents have been trained in the tournament and achieved rapid growth. In the future, Huzhou not only hopes to become a hot spot for cultivating tennis seedlings, but also looks forward to the emergence of more tennis-related service talents to promote the overall coordinated development of tennis in this place.
