WTA Rome: Swiatek is looking to defend her title, Sabalenka is keen to keep her winning streak alive

On May 5, Beijing time, the draw for the women's singles main draw of the 2025 WTA1000 Rome station was released, with Sabalenka and Gauff, the women's singles champions and runners-up in Madrid, and the defending champion Swiatek and the No. 3 seed Pegula in the lower half. Case, Paulini, Andreeva and Zheng are seeded 5-8.

In terms of Chinese mainland players, Zheng Qinwen is in the 1/8 zone with top seed Sabalenka, and the first opponent he faces after a first-round bye will be between Danilovic and Sniakova. Wang Xinyu's first-round opponent is Vondrousova, a Grand Slam champion who has returned from injury. Wang Xiyu won in the first round of qualifying and will face Ruth tomorrow for a spot in the main draw.

The Women's Singles Main Draw WTA1000 Rome will take place from 6 to 18 May with a total prize fund of €6,009,593, with the singles winner taking home 1,000 ranking points and €877,390. The defending champion of the tournament is Swiatek, who has won the tournament three times before, and the two former champions of Rybakina and Svitolina will also compete in this year's main event.
