ATP 250 Stuttgart: Fritz wins the championship with five consecutive victories over Zverev

This year's ATP 250 final in Stuttgart was between two of the world's top 10 players, with Fritz beating homegrown Zverev 6-3, 7-6(0) in the Men's Singles final to claim his fourth grass court title and his ninth career ATP Tour title.

After this fight, Fritz won five consecutive victories against Zverev and rewrote the duo's head-to-head record to 8-5. The American brother has risen three places in the latest world rankings to return to fourth place in the world.

"I didn't have a good season on clay and it was great to get off to a great start to the season on grass and I'm happy to win here. Fritz had previously suffered a shock defeat to Altmaier in the first round of the French Open, but he showed good form this week, winning the title without dropping a set, becoming the first player to win the title without a break since Perricar at ATP 500 Basel last October, and won his first title of the season.

Djokovic (eight) has more grass titles than Fritz, and the American currently holds four grass titles (three of which came in Eastbourne), tied with Berrettini and Mahu.
