Today, March 23, is the closing day of the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2026. The highlight of the series will undoubtedly be the two men's and women's finals of the tournament between Border Guard vs LPB Ninh Bình and VTV Binh Dien Long An vs VietinBank.

Both Border Guard and VTV Binh Dien Long An have been rated as superior to their opponents and considered the strongest contenders for the championship since before this year's Hoa Lu Cup began, but in sports generally and volleyball specifically, surprises can always occur.

In the two third-place matches, Information - Northeast will face host LPB Ninh Bình again, while Ho Chi Minh City Police are likely to have a favorable match against Hanoi.

The Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2026 takes place in Ninh Bình from March 18 to March 23, marking the first official tournament of the Vietnamese professional volleyball season. The event gathers 12 top men's and women's teams, divided into the following groups:

• Women's Event

Group A: VTV Binh Dien Long An, Hanoi Tasco Auto, VietinBank

Group B: LPB Ninh Bình, Information - Northeast, XMLS Thanh Hóa

• Men's Event

Group A: Ho Chi Minh City, Border Guard, Ho Chi Minh City Police

Group B: LPB Ninh Bình, Hanoi, The Cong Tan Cang

Teams will compete in a round-robin format for points; the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, followed by knockout matches to determine the champion. The bottom-ranked teams from each group will compete for 5th-6th place.

The reigning champions of the men's and women's events of the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup are Border Guard and LPB Ninh Bình respectively.
