Vietnam's most successful women's volleyball team finishes third overall in the 2026 Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup.

After defeating the host LPBank Ninh Binh in five sets, the Information Corps Unit 19 secured third place overall in the 2026 Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup.

The first two sets were relatively balanced for most of the time, but at the decisive final points, the Information Corps (IC) Unit 19 were the better players and won consecutively with scores of 25-20 and 25-22.

Young talents Pham Quynh Huong and Nguyen Huynh Phương Thuy were the factors who shone at the right moment to help the military women's volleyball team secure crucial victories and gain a significant advantage over the host team Ninh Binh.

However, the students of coach Pham Van Long failed to capitalize on the advantage to finish the match in three sets. Conversely, LPBank Ninh Binh were clearly the better team in the third set.

The efforts of Nguyen Thi Uyen and her teammates helped them secure a decisive 21-16 victory in the set where IC Unit 19 again exposed familiar issues such as many step-one errors, declining stamina, and a lack of dynamic play.

The fourth set was extremely tense. The two teams wrestled for each point, creating an exciting back-and-forth battle. LPBank Ninh Binh were the better players at the decisive final points and surged ahead to win 25-23, pushing the match into a deciding set.

The deciding set was full of drama. IC Unit 19 started very well and surged ahead to lead 10-5, but LPBank Ninh Binh immediately scored consecutively to narrow the gap to 10-11, then 11-12.

But unfortunate mistakes afterward forced the women's volleyball team from the ancient capital to pay the price with a 12-15 defeat, thereby losing 2-3 overall. The Information Corps Unit 19 won third place in this year's Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup.
