VTV Bình Điền Long An is the reigning national volleyball champion for two consecutive seasons.
VTV Bình Điền Long An recently won the Hoa Lư - Bình Điền Cup 2026 after a thrilling victory in the final against VietinBank. Although this is a significant achievement, affirming the strength of this traditional club, Coach Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa's team does not rest on their laurels but quickly shifts focus to a more important goal: Stage 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship.
According to Coach Ngọc Hoa, VTV Bình Điền Long An aims for a top 4 finish in this year's National Championship. This is a modest target considering the team is the defending champion, with a balanced lineup and strong cohesion. However, this also helps reduce psychological pressure for the players; VTV Bình Điền Long An will take steady steps before thinking further about defending the title as they did last season.
The Vietnamese volleyball legend also affirmed that the entire team will maintain the highest focus, ready to face challenges to defend their position.
Immediately after the tournament ended in Ninh Bình, the whole team arrived in Đông Anh (Hanoi) on March 24 to continue training. Lessons learned from the Hoa Lư Cup are considered an important basis for refining their gameplay.
Without Phan Khánh Vy or Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, Coach Ngọc Hoa will still have the services of Đặng Thị Kim Thanh on loan from TPHCM. Last season, Kim Thanh, as a setter played a major role in helping Long An win the National Championship for the second consecutive year.
The 2026 National Club Championship continues to be played in two stages. Each team will play 7 matches in Stage 1 and 7 matches in Stage 2 to determine rankings, before entering the finals or relegation round.
