Coach Nguyen Van Hanh and his team show clear resolve to target the highest position in Phase 1 of this year's National Volleyball Championship.
The Ho Chi Minh City Police men's volleyball team recruits two high-quality foreign players: Martin Licek and Luiz Felipe Perotto for matches in Phase 1 of the 2026 National Club Volleyball Championship held in Dong Anh, Hanoi next April.
Martin Licek plays as an attacker, standing at 1.97m tall with a jump reach of 3.33m and a block reach of 3.45m. With robust physical foundation and international competition experience, this hitter is expected to significantly enhance the offensive power of the police department team.
Luiz Felipe Perotto is a Brazilian attacker, with an equally impressive height of 1.94m. This player is highly regarded for his diverse attacking ability and flexibility in gameplay.
Notably, both Licek and Perotto are not unfamiliar names in Vietnamese volleyball. Licek nearly joined Ho Chi Minh City Police during Phase 2 of last year's National Championship, but the deal fell apart due to various reasons, while Perotto previously played for Sanest Khanh Hoa in Phase 1 of the 2024 season..
Besides two high-caliber foreign players, Ho Chi Minh City Police also has several notable domestic additions such as attacker Duong Van Tien, libero Huynh Trung Truc, middle blockers Nguyen Thanh Hai, Nguyen Phuc Loc, and setter Tran Hoai Phuong.
Coach Nguyen Van Hanh and his team are very determined to achieve good results, hoping to secure a top position in the upcoming Phase 1 of the National Championship. In the recent Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup, Pham Quoc Du and his teammates did not perform successfully, finishing only 4th overall.
