Prior to commencing the formal procedures aimed at forming the Vietnamese women's U18 provisional volleyball team, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation actively undertook preparatory work for team formation.
Accordingly, the highest governing body of Vietnamese volleyball sent official documents to nationwide management units, requesting cooperation and facilitation so that promising young athletes could be summoned for training camps.
In the preliminary proposed list, the Vietnamese women's U18 provisional squad gathers 20 standout individuals from various clubs and regions with strong youth training traditions. Notably, Trịnh Huỳnh Bảo Ngọc (VTV Bình Điền Long An), Lê Nguyễn Khánh Vân (Industrial and Commercial Bank), and the trio from Đức Giang Chemical including Nguyễn Châm Anh, Lê Thị Kim Thư, and Nguyễn Lê Bảo Nhi are among them.

Opposite hitter Lê Thùy Linh, who performed excellently at the 2025 Women's U21 World Volleyball Championship, is expected to be part of the Vietnamese women's U18 volleyball team.
Additionally, strong centers such as Quảng Ninh, Hanoi, and the Signal Corps also contributed many promising talents like Nguyễn Bảo Ngọc, Đỗ Hồng Phương, Vũ Mai Ngân, Bùi Thị Ánh Thảo, Lê Thùy Linh, Nguyễn Thị Mai Quỳnh, and Nguyễn Dung Nhi. The remaining names, such as Nguyễn Khánh Linh (Bắc Ninh), Lưu Thị Thu Phương, and Quách Thị Hoài Ân (Thanh Hóa), are regarded as individuals with high potential for development in the near future.
According to the procedure, this list will continue to be sent to the Vietnam Sports Administration for professional review, evaluation, and ensuring selection criteria. Only when an official decision is issued will the national women's U18 team be summoned and enter the concentrated training phase.

Setter born in 2009, Bùi Thị Ánh Thảo (number 5), is expected to be included in the Vietnamese women's U18 volleyball team.
A representative from the Vietnam Sports Administration stated that the location chosen for this training session is Bac Ninh Sports University – a venue with standard facilities and training conditions, which has previously served as the "headquarters" for many national teams in key sports. This is considered a crucial preparatory step to ensure the professional quality of the youth team.
In 2026, the Vietnamese women's U18 team will aim to participate in the Women's U18 Asian Championship, scheduled from July 1st to 7th in Thailand. Therefore, the entire training program is designed with high intensity and maximum focus to help the coaching staff accomplish their tasks effectively and provide opportunities for young athletes to accumulate international competition experience.
Notably, among the 20 athletes proposed for summons, many will participate in the first round of the 2026 National Club Championship, taking place from April 6th to 19th in Dong Anh (Hanoi). This is not only an opportunity for young hitters to showcase their professional capabilities but also a crucial practical "test" before entering the national team training environment. Through this, the coaching staff will have additional grounds to assess performance and select the most deserving individuals for the long-term goals of Vietnamese women's volleyball on the continental stage.
