Tran Thi Thanh Thuy officially advances with Gunma Green Wings to the finals of the Japanese National Volleyball Championship.
Today (March 29), Gunma Green Wings continued to display impressive form in this season by defeating Aranmare Yamagata with a score of 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-18), thereby increasing their total wins to 24. This is also the team's second consecutive victory against the same opponent, further confirming their dominance by defeating Aranmare throughout the entire season.

In the first set, Gunma started proactively and quickly built a lead of up to 6 points. However, Aranmare Yamagata capitalized well on their opponent's errors to narrow the gap, even tying the score at 21-21. Nevertheless, at the decisive moment, Gunma maintained stability to close the set with a 25-23 win.
Moving to the second set, the match was completely dominated by Gunma Green Wings. The team effectively controlled the pace of the game, excelling in serving and attacking to quickly establish a large lead. Despite encountering some difficulties midway through the set, Gunma easily regained their dominant position and secured a decisive 25-15 victory.
The third set continued to showcase Gunma's superiority. The team maintained a lead of 6 to 8 points for most of the period, while Aranmare could not create any significant difference. Gunma played solidly, minimized errors, and concluded the match with a 25-18 win.
On an individual level, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy performed consistently with 9 points, an efficiency rate of 34.62%, ranking as the team's fourth scorer after Olivia Rozanski (23 points), Minami Takaso (12 points), and Nasya Dimitrova (10 points). This victory further strengthens Gunma Green Wings' position on the rankings.
With this win, Gunma officially secures qualification for the finals, a playoff stage for the top eight teams competing for the championship.
