The Gunma Green Wings women's volleyball team, featuring Thanh Thúy, is expected to travel to Vietnam to participate in competitions.
The 2026 VTV9–Bình Điền International Women's Volleyball Tournament, scheduled for May in Tây Ninh, is gradually revealing its first invited teams. The organizers aim to gather 8 teams, including 4 international representatives. Notably, the Japanese team Gunma Green Wings has officially accepted the invitation, becoming the first confirmed foreign guest, according to SGGP newspaper.
Gunma Green Wings currently attracts significant attention from Vietnamese fans as it includes main attacker Trần Thị Thanh Thúy in its lineup. However, whether Thanh Thúy will participate in the tournament in Tây Ninh has not yet been officially announced.

Trần Thị Thanh Thúy contributed to helping Gunma Green Wings qualify for the finals of the Japanese National Volleyball Championship (SV League).
At the club level, Thanh Thúy is maintaining stable performance in the Japanese National Championship. After 39 matches, she has scored 583 points, temporarily ranking 15th in the overall scoring list and is very close to reaching the 600-point milestone. Most recently, Gunma Green Wings secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Aranmare Yamagata (25-23, 25-15, 25-18). This result ensures the team will be in the top 8 and marks its first qualification for the season finals.
In the next two matches on April 4th and 5th, Gunma will face Victorina Himeji, currently ranked 5th. This is seen as an opportunity for Thanh Thúy to reach the 600-point milestone while continuing to affirm her crucial role in the team.
Notably, with Thanh Thúy's contributions, Gunma has made significant progress this season. Last season, Gunma ranked 14th. In the current season, Gunma has achieved new advancements with main attacker Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, securing 24 victories.
Gunma Green Wings' confirmed participation has elevated the professional quality of the 2026 VTV9-Bình Điền Cup, adding more appeal to the tournament.
